Santa's message for YOU!

I saw this on my friends blog, and copied it because I think it is so cool! It is a personalized video message from Santa. I did it for Gavin who thought it was the greatest thing ever! So if you have little kid-lets you MUST give this a try,
they will love it!

I'm 3!

This little cutie turned 3 on December 8th! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Upon request I made him a tractor cake...YES that thing is a tractor! o.k it is my very sad attempt at a tractor, it looks more like a sorry broken down old fashioned car, that has seen a few days in the junkyard, I have a new found respect for cake chefs! Gavin is so energetic and full of imagination he is a sweetheart...most of the time :) And we love him! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOOSE!

Make a wish!

Birthday is done, now we can't wait until Christmas... This picture was taken before we decorated the tree. So if you look close you will see that they are all toys hanging on there. Gavin was thrilled that he decorated the tree all by himself. Since then it has been officially decorated with ornaments, but I still continue to find random household objects shoved into that poor tree on a daily basis. If something is missing we know where to look.

HEE- HAW FaRms

We went to Hee Haw farms the other day, and it was really cool. They had tons of fun things for kids to do. This was their awesome pick your own pumpkin patch, out in the middle of these huge sunflowers. Here are some pics.

OUCH...my pride...and my bum

What can I say, other than my worst nightmare finally happened.

I got a road bike a while back and have been slowly gathering the courage (and the money) to buy cycling shoes and clipless pedals; you know the kind that clip you INTO your bike, as in your feet DO NOT come OFF the bike...ya those kind. I convinced the guys at the bike store to hook my bike into the stationary bike stand so I could practice clipping in and out of the pedals. Much to the amusement of the employees, I practiced for about twenty minutes, bought my shoes and pedals and left. I took a very cautious trial run through the back streets of my neighborhood, I was thinking "I've got this, I am the woman." A few days later I decided to head out on a "real ride". Everything was going smoothly until I got to the first intersection. I think that I got caught up in the feeling of looking like a "real cyclist" in my new shoes, that I forgot to down shift into an easier gear when I stopped at the intersection. So the road cleared and it was my turn to go. I push off, and realize I am in THE hardest gear possible, and the struggle with trying to get a forward motion going and clip into my pedal all at the same time- was just too much for my beginners brain...you know what's coming...I leaned to far to the left (which would be the side that my foot was still clipped into) and..."Oh *#@$", nothing I can do but smile and wave as I hit the pavement. I wish I could say it was some high speed wipout story, but really there was no speed at all, just me... tipping over. Long story short I am laying on the asphalt struggling to unclip myself from my FREAKING pedals, thinking all the while, "I can't believe it is rush hour and all these people are thinking what sort of facility would let a handicapped person out to ride their bike all alone!" I dragged my sore bod and my bike to the sidewalk where way too many people stopped to ask if I was alright, or if my bike broken, or if I was hurt...and yes I was hurt and my pride got hit the hardest. It has been a week and I still have a bruise the size of Texas on my rear!

Thought I would share that since it is actually quite humorous to me now. And because some of you unfortunatley heard about it, so I can't live in secret humiliation anymore :)

Baby blessing and the Big 30!

We blessed Everett on Sunday evening at our house. We were glad so many of our family were able to be there, including Angie and Scott and family who made it up from Vegas. It was also Rob's 30th birthday so we had a little party. Here are some pic's.

Let the summer fun begin!

Rob busted his bum to get this awesome swing set done for Gavin. Our yard used to have a hideous looking fenced in garden with cement etc... some of you know what it looked like. I wish I had a before picture. We tore it all out and put in sod and a swing set. Thanks Dad and Ty for your help! We couldn't have done it without you!
Gavin doing what he calls "ROCKSTARS"...his fancy trick on the swing...don't have any clue where he came up with that :)
Gavin found the ultimate car ramp.

Smiley!

Everett with a big grin. It is so fun to start seeing his little personality!
